IT´S HALLOWEEN TIME!!!

A poem about DEATH

(Un poema sobre la MUERTE)

There are cemeteries that are lonely,

(Hay cementerios solitarios)

Graves full of bones that do not make a sound,

(Tumbas llenas de huesos sin sonidos)

The heart moving through a tunnel,

(El corazón pasando por un túnel)

In it darkness, darkness, darkness,

(Oscuro, oscuro, oscuro)

Like a shipwreck we die...

(Como un naufragio hacia dentro nos morimos)

Death arrives...

(La muerte llega)

Like a shoe with no foot in it,

(Como un zapato sin pie)

Like a suit with no man in it,

(Como un traje sin hombre)

Comes and knocks, using a ring with no stone in it,

(Llega y golpea con un anillo sin piedra)

With no finger in it,

(Sin dedo)

Comes and shouts with no mouth,

(Llega y grita sin boca)

With no tongue,

(Sin lengua)

With no throat.

(Sin garganta)

Nevertheless its steps can be heard

(Sin embargo sus pasos suenan)

And its clothing makes a hushed sound,

(Y su vestido suena callado)

Welcome to our Halloween preparations!!!

(Bienvenidos a nuestros preparativos para Halloween)

This course we are going to make different

ornaments to decorate the hall ,

our particular

Halloween graveyard/cemetery.

Este curso vamos a elaborar diferentes

adornos para decorar la entrada principal,

que se transformará en...nuestro

CEMENTERIO de HALLOWEEN particular.

As usual, we would like you to participate

in the Halloween exhibitions at school.

Como viene siendo habitual, nos gustaría que participarais

en la exposición del cole.

These are the instructions:

Estas son las instrucciones:

If you are a pupil or Pre Primary education

3, 4 and 5 year levels,

take a plastic bottle, put a long candle in its neck

and decorate your Halloween candle

in black and white.

If you don´t have a plastic bottle,

use only a big, thick candle and decorate it.

Sí eres un/a alumno/a de Educación Infantil

de 3, 4 y 5 años,

coge una botella de plástico, ponle una vela

larga en el cuello y decora tu vela de Halloween

en blanco y negro.

Si no dispones de una botella de plástico,

usa solo una vela grande y gruesa y decórala.

PRIMERO Y SEGUNDO

If you are a pupil of Primary, 1st and 2nd levels,

take some cardboard and give it a semicircular shape because

you are going to make a gravestone.

Paint it in grey and write in black the letters RIP on it.

If it is not supported you can make a base or stick a box behind.

Sí eres un/a alumno/a de los cursos de 1º y 2º de Primaria,

coge una cartulina o cartón grande y dale forma de semicírculo

porque vas a elaborar una lápida.

Píntala de gris y escribe en negro las letras RIP.

Si ves que no se sostiene puedes hacerle una base

o pegar una caja por detrás.

TERCERO Y CUARTO

If you are a pupil of Primary, 3rd and 4th levels,

take some cardboard, give it a circular shape

with a big hole in the middle, cover it with strips

of plastic bags tied in a loop shape, and at the end stick

some Halloween ornaments, because you are going

to make a Halloween crown.

Sí eres un/a alumno/a de 3º y 4º de Primaria,

hazte con un cartón, dale forma de círculo y hazle un agujero

grande en el medio, cúbrelo con tiras de bolsas de plástico

atadas formando lazos y al final pega adornos de Halloween

porque vas a hacer una corona de Halloween.

QUINTO Y SEXTO

If you are a pupil of Primary, 5th and 6th levels,

take a shoe box and give it a coffin shape.

Paint it in black and draw a big white cross on the box top.

Si eres un/a alumno/a de los cursos de 5º y 6º de Primaria,

coge una caja de zapatos y dale forma de ataúd.

Píntala de negro y dibuja una cruz grande de color blanco

en la tapa superior de la caja.

Your English teacher will show you how to make

the most amazing ornaments that you can bring

to school as soon as you finish them at home.

Si tienes alguna duda pide ayuda.

Tu profe de inglés te mostrará cómo hacer los adornos

más alucinantes, que puedes traer al cole tan pronto

como los hayas terminado en casa.
